Clear Seawall Panels
In the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake, high concrete sea walls were planned in areas where large tsunamis were forecasted. Although seawalls are vital to protect lives, we initially worried their height would make it difficult to see the sea in the event of an emergency, thereby making them dangerous. So, we proposed embedding acrylic panels only in select advantageous locations of the concrete sea walls. Currently, many local governments are already using NIPPURA seawall panels for both safety & spectacularly beautiful views.
